Based at our warehouse near Haywards Heath, ForceFX have a vacancy for an experienced SFX technician to join our events team.
You should preferably live locally, or within easy commuting distance of Haywards Heath and hold a full UK driving license.
Ideally you'll be used to working with Stage Pyrotechnics along with standard 'Event' type Special Effects(such as Co2 Jets, Flame systems etc., (and experience of running Show Lasers would also be an advantage).
Equally if you've worked in other areas of the entertainment industry or as a Theatre technician and are looking for a change, then we would be happy to hear from you.
As you would expect the job involves some late nights and weekend work with occasional overnight stays and limited touring.

Trainee Technician & Warehouseman: Posted: 02/01/2020
ForceFX are looking for somebody who's seeking an entry level position in the SFX Industry and who's interested in training as an all round Technician/Pyrotechnician, so if you are looking for a different kind of job and you think that you're the right person to join our technical team, then we would like to hear from you.
You should be at least 18 on your next Birthday (which is a legal minimum age to handle Pyrotechnics) and be able to work as part of a team. You'll need to have good spoken English, good communication skills and be computer literate.
Initially you'll work alongside our technicians in the warehouse learning to use and maintain our SFX equipment and packing kit for Hire's, Shows and Tours. You'll also have the opportunity to join our technical team at some of the Shows, Events & Festivals we do throughout the year, so you'll get to see all sides of what we do.
We offer applicants full in-house and Industry approved training as well as on the job experience, so you'll lean as you earn. Don't worry if you didn't exactly excel in school, in this business we value practical skills above academic achievement. So exam results aren't critical, but a good deal of common sense and a willingness to learn and to work hard are.
The position is open to both Male and Female applicants, but please be aware that some manual handling of heavy equipment and cylinders is involved both in the warehouse and on Events.
